VISIT KESWICK
A visit to Keswick that you will remember
As a traditional market town, Keswick has much more to offer than fells and lakes. There has been a John Young shop in Keswick since 1890 and there are other long established independent shops here too. With such a variety of local shops and the popular Thursday and Saturday markets there’s plenty to see and do, making Keswick an ideal base to explore the North Lakes and the Borrowdale Valley.
Something to see all year round
You won’t find Keswick closed in the winter months! There’s so much to see and do all year round. Stunning scenery is the backdrop for Keswick’s famous Theatre by the Lake, performing concerts and plays throughout the year local museums, art galleries and exhibitions as well as a host of pubs, restaurants and local café’s that take pride in serving tasty local food alongside great hospitality.
Enjoy the outdoors at a leisurely pace
With lots of easy walks alongside crystal clear rivers, fields and fells there is something for all ages. For golf lovers, our challenging 18 hole golf course is set in one of the prettiest locations (but we are biased). Try your hand at rock climbing, fell walking and canoeing or take a quiet walk, go shopping ad have afternoon tea.
Why not take a leisurely boat trip across Derwentwater – the views are spectacular and there are plenty of stopping off places along the way.
There’s plenty to see and do in the area, so why not take a trip to Keswick when you are thinking of a new sofa or dining table. Enjoy some luxury in the Lakes and visit John Young Furnishing while you are in Keswick.
